A Celebration of Support for Children’s Charities in Wales

This lunch has gained the enviable reputation as being one not to be missed in both the business and social calendar in Wales.

Raising money to change the lives of children and their families

Since its inception this lunch has raised more than £1m. The Women in Wales committee is proud of this achievement and with your support we aim to increase our donation each year.

Our aim to support charities and projects providing help to children in Wales

Women in Wales is a registered charity with a committee that organise the Women in Wales annual Lunch. The purpose of the charity is to fundraise at the Luncheon to support children’s charities and projects in Wales which are selected after application by the Trustees of the charity.

'We received a wonderful £5000 from Women In Wales last year which was amazing! This money has gone towards a respite trip away for Young Carers who support their family members who have an illness, disability, health condition or substance use. Young Carers work so hard to support the people they care for and do this without any money or often a break. We know that a respite residential has one of the biggest positive impact on the wellbeing of Young Carers.”

“With the grant funding, BulliesOut has been able to deliver our anti-bullying workshops for young people in schools across Wales. The funding enabled us to reach children and young people who may not otherwise have access to specialist support, providing them with practical tools to recognise bullying behaviour, build resilience, and seek help safely.”

Women in Wales Charity Donated more than £125,000 to Wales Children’s Projects since relaunching post-Covid.

Raising vital funds for Welsh children’s charities remains at the heart of why individuals and businesses continue to be so generous in their support, and why the committee remains committed to running the luncheon each year. In 2026, the trustees were able to provide significantly more funding to the two chosen charities than was initially promised, donating over £24,000 at a time when such support was needed most.
